OpenStax is a nonprofit education initiative of Rice University that publishes free, peer-reviewed textbooks and learning resources. Its materials cover subjects including mathematics, science, business, humanities, nursing, and social sciences, and are available online and as downloadable PDFs. The initiative also offers tools and resources for instructors and students, with some features requiring an account. Educators should review each title’s scope, license, edition, supplemental materials, and course alignment before assigning it.
