Aviagen is a poultry breeding company that supplies broiler breeding stock to the commercial chicken industry. Its published resources explain how selective breeding and genetics support breeding programs and provide information for farmers, policymakers, educators, and other industry stakeholders. Aviagen describes its mission as supplying breeding stock and its work as part of the early stages of the poultry production chain, rather than raising chickens for food itself. The company publishes material about breeding, bird health, welfare, and responsible production on its website for customers and the wider poultry sector.
